Your training data stays on your phone
Your stage, logged sessions, and self-test history are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere. There are no accounts. If you clear your browser data or use "Reset my progress," that data is gone — we couldn't recover it if we wanted to, because we never had it.
Email (optional)
If you sign up for the weekly check-in, we store your email address and the training stage you were on when you signed up with Buttondown, our email provider. That's the whole record. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes you from the list. You can also email us to have your address removed entirely.
Analytics
We use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics tool: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers. We see aggregate numbers (visits, how many people pass a stage) — never who you are or your individual training history.
What we never do
No ads, no selling data, no third-party trackers, no dark patterns. This site is made by the coach behind trainperennial.com — the business model is that some of you will eventually want more coaching, not your data.
